Bullying can arise in many different forms from being teased, punched, ignored and left out, to being attacked because of gender, race or appearance.

Children should never feel ashamed if they are being bullied, however they can sometimes feel extreme isolation and are fearful of talking to someone face to face or on the telephone. Alternatively if somebody sees a child being bullied, they can report this without the fear of reprisal, but knowing that the matter can be looked into and dealt with.
